Working at the German Heart Center of the Charité
At the German Heart Center of the Charité (DHZC) we care for patients with heart diseases who are undergoing inpatient or outpatient treatment in our hospital. One focus of our work is the psychocardiological care of transplant patients and patients with heart support systems and, if applicable, their immediate family. Accompanying patients in the clinic for congenital heart defects – pediatric cardiology is also another important focus, here too, of course, in the context of the immediate family. We hold preparatory discussions before major operations, provide support after operations and offer contact for discussions at outpatient appointments. The position at a glance
You will work closely with the management of our department and be the first point of contact for day-to-day operations. Your tasks will include:
the establishment and sustainable implementation of a billing process for existing services and testing the billability of new services
budget monitoring taking into account the planned budget and participation in controlling meetings of the work area
the implementation of quality assurance workflows in cooperation with the team
Tasks in human resources management, e.g. application management in the work area as well as the organization and administration of internships and shadowing positions
creating evaluations and statistics using SAP reporting
the coordination of daily business, e.g. as an interface to the DHZC outpatient clinics, in the development of a robust appointment management system, in internal and external communication via telephone and e-mail or in participation in our team meetings
We are looking for
You have a degree in business administration, economics, health economics, healthcare management or a comparable degree and
have already gained professional experience in a comparable position in the administration of a clinic
can demonstrate knowledge in the field of healthcare, structures in the university sector, clinical structures and outpatient and inpatient billing
have knowledge of project management and ideally also (operational) human resources work
work confidently in Microsoft Office and SAP, so that you are able to create and interpret analyses and statistics
convince us with your strong organizational and communication skills
are empathetic in dealing with particularly vulnerable patients and their relatives

Pay group E9b TVöD VKA-K . The classification is based on qualifications, the respective level of experience is calculated from the years of professional experience. The annual salary (gross) is given for a full-time position without annual bonuses, allowances and additional services. You can find the collective agreement here
The position is full-time with 38.5 hours per week
