QA/QC ENGINEER – MECHANICAL Job Vacancy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
We are currently seeking an experienced QA/QC Mechanical Engineer to ensure the mechanical systems and components in our building projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance plans specific to mechanical systems in building construction.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to establish and communicate quality standards.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct inspections of mechanical installations, equipment, and systems to ensure compliance with building codes and project specifications.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of mechanical contractors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and design specifications.
- Testing and Commissioning:
- Oversee and participate in mechanical testing and commissioning activities.
- Ensure that all mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, are functioning according to design requirements and performance criteria.
- Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive records of all QA/QC activities, including inspections, tests, and approvals.
- Prepare and submit detailed quality reports outlining findings, deviations, and recommended corrective actions.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the project team to address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly.
- Collaborate with mechanical designers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Training:
- Conduct training sessions for project teams and subcontractors on QA/QC procedures and standards related to mechanical work.
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in QA/QC for mechanical systems in building construction.
- In-depth knowledge of local building codes, mechanical standards, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Professional certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer – CQE).
- Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) and other relevant software.
- Experience with LEED or other green building certifications.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and standards related to mechanical work in construction.
