Registered Nurse – ER Job Vacancy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Perform his / her duties as per NMC guiding principles and model of care, DHA regulation    and other regulatory authorities, accreditation body.
2. Provides care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the adult or elderly patient’s and family’s diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity, and rights.
3. Provide culturally appropriate patient focused nursing care.
4. Applies the international patient safety goals throughout the patient journey and care process.
5. Respects patient and applies patient family rights throughout the patient care, with empathy, emotional stability.
6. Educates and informs patient on the care process and other relevant information within her scope of practice.
7. Assessment, implementation and coordination of complex care and interventions.
8. Supporting a compassionate and therapeutic environment for critically ill patients
9. Providing comfort and preventing suffering.
10. Collaborating with patients, their families, their healthcare providers, and healthcare professionals.
11. Acting as patient advocates.
12. Arranging and overseeing continuous monitoring and nursing vigilance.
13. Interpreting diagnostic tests.
14. Consults and coordinates with health care team members develops plan of care that is individualized for the adult and elderly patients reflecting collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.
15. Demonstrates skills to triage the patients as per their condition and provides timely care in response to the needs of the patients.
16. Carry out nursing assessment, state nursing diagnosis, provide critical nursing care.
17. Demonstrate competency in providing emergency nursing care and procedures for patients of all ages in clinical emergency situations.
18. Sets up equipment for assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
19. Monitors continuously vital signs and other parameters of the patient who are under observation.
20. Performs a wide range of nursing procedures with keen attention on patient safety and comfort, including those requiring strict aseptic technique.
21. Administers intravenous fluids, medications including high alert medications and narcotic drugs accurately and safely as prescribed.
22. Ensure correct and precise nursing documentation about patient care.
23. Demonstrate efficiency in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and participates as a member of Code Blue team in the hospital.
24. Demonstrates skills in care of patient with seizure, Myocardial Infarction, poly trauma.
25. Assist the Doctors for ICD, air way management, defibrillator, cardioversion, thrombolisation and other procedure as per the hospital policies.
26. Prepare the patient for emergency surgery.
27. Demonstrates competence in providing care utilizing biomedical equipment’s such as cardiac monitors and ventilators.
28. Execute basic bedside nursing care and maintain hygienic protocols of the unit.
29. Performs admission, discharge, and transfer procedures for the patient.
30. Provides education and support to patient families.
31. Assists with transfer of patients within the health care facility and to other health facility outside.
32. Maintain medical records as per hospital policy and procedures
33. Facilitate information exchange of patient related conditions and treatments at the end of shifts.
34. Escorts patients in ambulance when required along with team.
35. Demonstrates critical care, monitors/ assesses/ provides therapeutic intervention as required during transportation.
36. Collection and dispatch of specimens when ordered.
37. Ensure the highest achievable level of care is delivered through identifying, advocating, and caring for all impacted population in all phases of various disaster events.
38. Carry out routine check of working of equipment’s in each shift.
39. Participates in maintaining the inventory of the unit. 
40. Participates in scheduled continuing nursing education and staff development programs such as Quality improvement projects and Key Performance Indicators
41. Maintains confidentiality of patient’s medical information.
42. Demonstrates adherence to infection control policies.
43. Maintains and adheres to hospital policies and JCI accreditation protocol.
44. Demonstrate awareness of fire/equipment hazards and the necessary precautions to be activated as per hospital policy.
45. Remain critical to the entire health care operation and pandemic response—processing, assessing, and triaging patients quickly and efficiently

Pediatric:

Providing critical and preventive care to infants, children, and adolescents.

1. Pediatric nurse to be responsible for the medical and health care of children from birth to late teens. 
2. The pediatric nurse will discuss a child’s symptoms and medical history, provide initial care, administer prescribed medication, and monitor the patient’s progress. 
3.  Provide support to families and work with them to address their concerns, fears, problems, and option
4. They are able to talk to children and ask questions about their health, especially when children are scared and cannot clearly communicate their problems
5. Able to assess, plan and implement evaluate care of children
6. Plan the individualized care based on the identified needs and considers the growth and development of children
7. Demonstrates competence in using pediatric pain assessment, growth and development assessment, pediatric drug, fluid calculation, use medical equipment and devices as per the age, weight of the child 
8. Understands the immunization schedule, collects appropriate immunization history, assist, support and administer immunization as per the approved and accepted guidelines of the hospital.
9. Provides child safety and measures to prevent accident prevention for hospitalized child 

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Master’s in nursing/ Bachelor of Science in Nursing/ Diploma in Nursing
2. Current licensed in country of origin and with DHA license to practice in Dubai UAE.
3. Minimum 2 years nursing experience or undergone training in relevant clinical area.
4. BLS provider, ACLS provider, ATLS/ TNCC preferable
5. Good English- spoken & written.
6. Arabic language is desirable, but not essential.
