JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties & Responsibilities:

To prepare the different kinds of cleaning materials for washing.

To receive the washed from the hospital departments and put it in a special room after recording its weight.

To sort out the contaminated pieces and wash them separately.

To put the washed in the laundry and start washing using the necessary detergents.

To dry the washed after washing.

To put the dry washed in clean cars and send it to be ironed.

To apply the instructions for washing and dryness as per the procedure’s manual.

To keep the record of the washed to know the amount and the source of the work done.

To supervise the work of washing and dry equipment, submit recommendations to the laundry supervisor, clean it continuously, and report to the supervisor any defect that may happen.

To apply the principles and rules of general safety during work.

To carry out any other duties specified for him within his activities

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

Elementary school certificate.

1 year of experience in laundry work in hospital environments.

Skills and Competencies:

Good knowledge of work procedures in the laundry.

To be acquainted with the rules of general safety.

The ability to work within various conditions and situations.

Good knowledge of the approved disinfectants and dilution protocols of detergents in a hospital environment.
