We are currently recruiting for our Paris office, a Senior Data Engineer H/F

The Team:

The Kayrros engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining Kayrros’ POCs and established products. As Senior Data Engineer, You have a transverse role in the development of Kayrros technologies, from domain specific algorithm design to production deployment. You will therefore collaborate with our Analysts and Data Scientists in your product team, and assume responsibility on Build and Run of the products under your responsibility.

On the other end, you will also work closely with the overall Kayrros engineering team and help improve technical leadership, measured by meaningful innovation and operational excellence.

What you will do :

As Senior Data Engineer, you are in charge of:

  • Building the products :
    • Participating in the design, implementation and testing of our components and architecture.
    • Providing insights and sharing knowledge regarding best practices and clean coding.
    • Working closely with computer vision researchers to integrate and scale their algorithms.
    • Evaluating performance and optimizing all parts of the stack.
    • Continuously providing ideas to improve products.
  • And running them:
    • Providing technical support to Data Scientists/Analysts during exploratory analysis.
    • Ensuring reliable delivery of your data to the customer
    • Supporting customers when needed

You work with the full range of remote sensing data sources used at Kayrros (optical, SAR, hyper-spectral), in order to expand your remote sensing expertise and be able to support and advise all Product and Engineering teams.


  • At least 2-3 years experience in Software Development.
  • Experience(s) in Clean Code and Agile oriented teams.
  • Strong knowledge in software architecture and cloud systems architecture.
  • Familiar with some components of our technical stack: git, Docker, K8s, S3, Python, Spark, Airflow, PostgreSQL.
  • Experience ensuring your data pipelines run reliably.
  • Can communicate clearly in English, including with non-technical people.
  • Experience with TDD is a plus.
