Registered Nurse – ER Job Vacancy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

JOB DESCRIPTION

Intervenes appropriately in clinical emergency situations.

  • Demonstrate competency in cardio pulmonary resuscitation and participates as a member of Code Blue hospital wide.
  • Demonstrate competency in providing emergency nursing care and procedures for patients of all ages.
  • Sets up equipment for and assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Demonstrates priority setting or triage skills and timeliness in responding to patients needs.
  • Administer drugs/medications as per doctor’s orders.
  • Assists with transfer of patients within the health care facilities.
  • Serves as transport nurse for patients during ambulance or aircraft transport.
  • Performs a wide range of nursing procedures with attentive to accuracy, patient safety and comfort, including those requiring strict aseptic technique.
  • Demonstrate awareness of fire/equipment hazards and the necessary precautions to be activated as per hospital policy.
  • Participates in scheduled continuing nursing education.
  • Monitor hospital environment for compliance with Infection Control policy and Procedures.
  • Adherent the practice of Medication Review
  • Responsible for daily checking of crash carts and emergency equipments as per hospital policy.
  • Take the details of available beds in the hospital from nursing supervisor in every shift and note it down.
  • After triage, bed arrangement and reallocation of staff according to triage category.
  • Inform doctors on duty to consult the patients as per their triage category and assure the patients about the doctor response.
  • Make sure carry out of doctor’s order & blood sample should collect and send on right time in order to get result on time.
  • Follow up the all admission & observation insurance approval status and queries from pre -approval team and arrange query reply with the help of ER physician to expedite the insurance approval.
  • Direct interaction with all ER beds patients and provide proper information on bed availability, food availability and waiting time.
  • Make sure to arrange bed for all admission patients with the help of nursing supervisor.
  • Take the feedback from all staff about their patients and make sure everyone should have equivalent no. of patients as per patient’s category and provide support to staff accordingly.
  • Perform round in every 30 min. in ER OPD & Observation beds (423 & 424) to make sure about smooth function of this area.
  • To increase the efficiency and productivity of ER allocate the staff as per their competency in OPD, ER beds, observation beds, injection & Triage room.
  • Monitor the performance of staff in each shift and update to nursing supervisor.
  • To follow appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations & Joint Commission International norms while treating or managing patients as well as while discharging their professional duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing.
  • Current license in country of origin and with DHA license to practice in Dubai, UAE.
  • Minimum 2 years nursing experience in the relevant area after qualification, BLS provider.
  • Good English spoken & written, Arabic language advantageous/desirable but not essential.
