Operations Manager – Lab Division Job Vacancy in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Increases the effectiveness and efficiencies of the overall operations of the whole lab business by engaging the different departments, including non-technical processes which includes IT, Insurance, Front Desk, Logistics, Customer service and Sales & Marketing and Procurement
- Leads & have a major role in decision making in terms of all laboratory process related concerns and responsibilities
- Ensures all the work processes within each Lab department are meeting the company’s objectives and responsible for any corrective actions and continuous improvement of workflow
- Involve in recruitment process of any new position required within the lab organization
- Collaborates and ensures all lab department’s team leaders have done their efforts to ensure efficient workflow
- Plays a significant role in both short and long term planning including initiative of planning for operational excellence
- Directly involves in annual budget planning processes required to implement plan & deliver objectives
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads the new projects from budgeting, planning up to its initial operations
- Ensures quality services are provided to all clients by collaborating with the Quality Assurance team if policies & procedures, training & orientation were properly implemented.
- Involves in training & orientation of new non clinical staff to ensure proper working effectiveness from day one (1).
- Works closely with the Procurement manager for any unbudgeted supply requirements of the company
- Develop progressive & aggressive product positioning that will increase sales volume and have an added value to the organization’s gross revenue
- Works closely with Quality Assurance team for the customer satisfaction survey conducted bi-annual.
- Works closely with the Business Development Manager for direct sales activities which includes but not limited to visits, conferences, meetings and marketing
- Works directly with the Group’s Marketing department for all collaterals, brochures, website development, promotions, CME, branding and etc. that can support the company’s position in the market
- Works closely with the Managing Director for any business development opportunities and current business growth & development in terms of sales and operational levels
- Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Master in Health Administration
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in management of healthcare.
- More than 2 years of experience in Diagnostic Center in UAE
- Able to manage projects independently and take the lead with reduced direct supervision
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Able to work with people of diverse backgrounds
Knowledge and Skills:
- Planning and management skills
- Well organized and able to maintain accurate documentation for all meetings and plans.
- Good level of numeracy, and analytical skills supported through effective use of MS Excel
- Knowledge of diagnostic laboratory level related skills assessment.
- Knowledge of the International and UAE Local Rules and Regulations in Licensing and Accreditation, applicable for the Medical Industry (including HAAD, MOH, DHA, DED, Municipality, and other Governmental Bodies requirements).
- Ability to interact with medical, administrative and higher level management professionals internally and externally
- Skills in leading, team building & staff supervision
- Possess eye to detail in customer satisfaction and handling their problems.
