🧠 Your Role in R&D This opportunity is based in Södertälje, Sweden, within TRATON Group R&D’s Platform Group. Our team develops the software that bridges the gap between hardware and application layers in embedded mechatronic systems. This platform software powers control units across our trucks and buses, and with the rise of electrified vehicles, our work is more vital than ever. We’re expanding our team to meet this growing demand—and we’re looking for a talented development engineer to join our 16-person crew in a creative, user-focused environment.

🔧 What You’ll Do As a developer, you’ll dive deep into embedded systems, writing C drivers that abstract the electronics and enable seamless application development. You’ll interpret signals from sensors and actuators, bringing modern vehicles to life. Your tasks may include:

• Synchronizing injection valve control with engine position
• Managing communication across distributed control units
• Diagnosing electrical signals from sensors
• Conducting functional testing with debuggers
• Interfacing with simulation frameworks (Software-in-the-Loop)

🎓 Who You Are You hold a Master of Science in Computer Engineering (or equivalent) and have hands-on experience with real-time systems. Your C programming skills are sharp, and familiarity with ARM architecture is a strong plus. You’re proactive, detail-oriented, and a clear communicator. Most importantly, you bring your unique perspective to the table—we value diversity and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
